Project information
This project constructed a major bridge (9 x 12 m spans) across the Mahi River at Lunawada at a cost of ₹27.00 Crore to provide reliable year-round connectivity over the river. Works included foundation piling/caissons, RCC substructure and superstructure, approach embankments, and drainage/safety features for durable performance in varying water levels. As part of the broader upgradation of Dhoridungri-Garasiyawada (VR/MDR) and Lunawada-Garasiyawada (SH-6) sections, the bridge improves regional mobility, reduces travel disruptions during monsoons, enhances access to rural and tribal areas, and supports economic development in Mahisagar District.
