This item rate (percentage) basis project focuses on strengthening and major maintenance of multiple sections along existing NH-56 to restore pavement condition, enhance structural durability, and improve safety across a significant length of the corridor. Works include pavement rehabilitation (e.g., DBM + BC overlay, white topping, or PQC where applicable), full-depth repairs, resurfacing, drainage improvements, shoulder strengthening, and other maintenance activities to handle traffic loads effectively. The initiative ensures smoother, safer travel on this vital highway linking tribal and rural areas, supports connectivity towards key destinations like the Statue of Unity region, reduces maintenance disruptions, and contributes to long-term highway performance in Gujarat.
