Project information
This ongoing maintenance project covers routine and periodic upkeep of the 65 km section of National Highway 48 (formerly NH-8) between Bharuch and Surat to ensure safe, smooth, and durable riding conditions on this high-traffic corridor. Activities include pavement patching/resurfacing, crack sealing, pothole repairs, shoulder maintenance, drainage cleaning, road markings refresh, signboard repairs, crash barrier fixes, and minor structural works as required. The works aim to minimize disruptions, enhance safety for heavy vehicular movement, reduce accidents, and maintain the highway's serviceability for efficient connectivity between major industrial and commercial hubs in South Gujarat.
