Project information
This Bharatmala Pariyojna project under EPC mode upgraded approximately 16.5 km (design length) of the existing two-lane highway to a four-lane divided carriageway to enhance capacity, safety, and connectivity in Mizoram's hilly terrain. Works included carriageway widening, pavement strengthening, median provision, shoulder construction, advanced drainage systems, and structural improvements suited to the region's challenging geography. The initiative improves vital north-south linkage along NH-306/NH-6, reduces travel time, boosts regional access, and supports economic development in Mizoram by facilitating better transport for goods and people.
