Project information
This major state highway project upgraded the 45.887 km stretch of SH-06 from a two-lane to a four-lane divided highway configuration with paved shoulders, significantly enhancing capacity, safety, and traffic efficiency. Works included carriageway widening, pavement strengthening/reconstruction, median construction, shoulder paving, advanced drainage systems, and structural improvements for high-load durability and all-weather performance. The upgrade improves vital connectivity to the Dahej industrial and port area, supports heavy industrial traffic movement, reduces congestion and travel time, and drives economic growth in Bharuch District's key industrial corridor.
