Project information
This strengthening project rehabilitated and reinforced sections of the old National Highway 8 (now part of state-managed network) over approximately 8 km, with targeted works on specified chainages to improve pavement condition, load-bearing capacity, and durability for heavy traffic. It included pavement overlay, structural repairs, and integration with the short 420-meter Mahavir Turning Loop Road to enhance connectivity and traffic flow at the junction. The initiative reduces maintenance needs, boosts safety, eases movement in the industrial Ankleshwar area, and supports efficient regional transport in Bharuch District.
